Job summary

Vancity, the member-owned credit union, seeks a Finance Process Automation & AI Intern. You will help identify opportunities to automate Finance processes and apply AI responsibly, working with the AI Centre of Excellence.

The role offers hands-on experience in process mapping, automation, and stakeholder engagement within a hybrid setup. Based at the Vancity head office, you will support automation pilots, business analysis, and digital transformation while gaining practical skills and

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in a related field.
Eligible for co-op, internship, or work-integrated learning.
Strong interest in process improvement, automation, AI, and digital transformation.

Responsibilities

Identify routine or manual processes that may benefit from automation or redesign.
Document current processes and business requirements with Finance team members.
Explore practical AI and automation uses to improve finance processes.
Develop, test, and refine automation solutions and proof-of-concept tools.
Organize information to help evaluate improvements and next steps.
Prepare process documentation, presentations, and status updates for stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve data quality.
Participate in process improvement discussions with Finance and partners.
Support user testing and validation for new processes and AI-enabled tools.
Monitor results from automation pilots and initiatives.
