Job summary

Eastholme invites applications for a Manager, Accounting & Finance to lead payroll, budgeting and financial reporting for the Home. Under the Administrator and the Manager, Accounting & Finance, you will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with PSAB and the Ministry of Long-Term Care, and provide strategic financial planning.

You will develop policies, supervise staff, liaise with external auditors, and support decision-making with accurate reporting and forecasts.

Qualifications

• CPA designation and CPA Ontario membership in good standing.
• Minimum of five (5) years of accounting and financial management experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formulas and data analysis.
• Experience in budgeting, financial reporting and internal controls in healthcare or not-for-profit settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor accounting and financial functions within the Home.
• Prepare reports for the Board, Administrator, Ministries and external bodies, including auditors.
• Develop and administer annual department operating budgets and monitor variances.
• Ensure statutory remittances, CRA requirements, and pension/benefit contributions are proper.
• Oversee payroll processing and OMERS pension administration.
• Present audited statements to the Board and support annual audit.
• Mentor and lead accounting/finance staff and collaborate with senior management.
