Bevo Farms Ltd operates three sites in the lower mainland of British Columbia and two facilities in the province of Alberta.
Position Summary
We are looking for a strategic and execution-focused Planning & Finance Business Partner to join our growing propagation business. This role will play a pivotal part in scaling operations through stronger planning, cross-functional alignment, and financial insight. As we expand our footprint across Canada and the U.S., you will serve as the connective tissue between propagation, sales, operations, and finance, ensuring timely, accurate, and actionable information to support decision-making and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Planning
- Own and facilitate the integrated planning process linking planting cycles, production capacity, and sales forecasts.
- Build and maintain planning models that reflect biological production realities and evolving market demand.
- Collaborate with sales and operations to align growth initiatives with resource planning and inventory strategy.
Financial Integration & Reporting
- Translate operational activities into clear financial impacts—supporting margin analysis, cost tracking, and forecasting.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of production costs, biological asset valuations, and inventory balances.
- Support financial close cycles with reconciliations and operational insights, including variance analysis and KPI tracking.
Data Integrity & Systems Enablement
- Lead the effort to strengthen data capture and reporting workflows across the business.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing systems (ERP, planning, BI tools) that improve scalability and reduce manual processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in data governance and reporting cadence.
Strategic Business Partnering
- Provide real-time support to operations and sales leaders on financial implications of business decisions.
- Prepare monthly performance packages for management and board review, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Cultivate a culture of data-driven decision-making across operational teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Agriculture, or Business; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a planning, finance, or business operations role within agriculture, manufacturing, or supply chain-driven sectors.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong Excel modeling and data visualization skills; experience with ERP (e.g., MS Nav) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) an asset.
- Knowledge of production accounting, biological asset tracking, and inventory costing is a strong asset.
- Ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic thinking.
