Job Description:

Key responsibilities of the position include:

  1. Creation of the annual financial plan
  2. Development of an asset management plan
  3. Ensuring sound financial controls are in place and followed
  4. Advising on financial matters
  5. Preparation of financial reports

Ideally, you will have experience in financial work in the municipal field. Strong communication, accounting, and analytical skills are just some of the requirements of the position. Candidates who have completed designated accounting courses, the Certified Manitoba Municipal Administrator course, or other relevant disciplines bring an educational advantage to the position.
