Job description

Position : Finance Manager

Location : Toronto (Full-Time, In-Office Only)

Compensation : $100,000 -$120,000 base + performance bonus

Industry : Investment Management / Advisory

Our client, a well-established Toronto-based investment management and advisory firm, is seeking a Finance Manager to support the finance function across both corporate and fund-level entities. This is a full-time, in-office role with significant exposure to fund accounting, corporate reporting, and operational finance. It is ideal for a CPA-designated professional from a Big 4 background who is looking for long-term growth toward a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist with full-cycle financial reporting, including preparation of audited financials and management reports

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and support monthly close processes

Contribute to fund-level reporting and investor statement preparation

Prepare cash flow forecasts and assist with treasury functions

Support regulatory filings and ensure compliance with investment and real estate regulations

Assist with tax compliance, expense tracking, and budgeting

Help prepare investor reports, board presentations, and other financial materials

Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel, and banking partners

Provide operational finance support (insurance, payroll, IT, etc.)

Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance financial operations

Qualifications :

CPA designation (or close to completion)

3-6 years of relevant experience, ideally with a Big 4 background

Solid understanding of fund accounting , financial reporting, and regulatory compliance

Experience in asset management, private equity, or investment advisory considered a strong asset

Proactive, hands-on attitude and the ability to work in a lean, fast-paced environment

Strong Excel skills and professional communication abilities
