Job summary

Child Development Institute (CDI) seeks an accomplished Finance Manager to provide leadership and oversight of financial operations, accounting, reporting, compliance, and internal controls. You will guide month-end, year-end close, budgeting, audits, treasury, and funder reporting while developing the accounting team and strengthening processes.

The role is based at CDI's head office with hybrid work after a training period.

Qualifications

• CPA designation and nonprofit financial management expertise
• Leadership experience in accounting/finance teams
• Advanced Excel and experience with financial systems (QuickBooks, Concur)

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting and accounting including month-end close and year-end close
• Own budgeting, planning and financial analysis to support program priorities
• Manage audits, compliance, and internal controls across funding sources
• Oversee treasury, cash flow management and banking relationships
• Lead, develop and coach the accounting team and drive process improvements across the Finance function
