Finance Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

We are currently hiring for a Finance Manager role within our highly professional and strategically focused business partnering team, reporting to the VP, PI FP&A, Performance and business partnering. Working with the end state in mind is conceptual in approach and can assist in managing the full spectrum of strategic/financial activities. Supports FP&A in cross-functional knowledge integration from various enabling areas.

What you'll do:

1. Understands key financial and operational performance drivers and helps integrate them consistently into our business management reporting processes.
2. Support the development/refinement of appropriate efficiency metrics, dashboards and financial/non-financial KPIs to enable effective performance management.
3. Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
4. Prepare financial performance reporting for monthly leadership reviews. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
5. Develop detailed financial models to evaluate the potential return on investment (ROI) and cost-benefit analysis for projects.
6. Build and maintain forecasting models to predict future trends and business performance.
7. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
8. Manage and analyze information that is predictive and useful.
9. Participates effectively in the development of business planning models that reflect key drivers of value and competitive environment.
10. Actively participates on cross-functional teams within the business.
11. Assist the business by providing a consistent approach in measuring its performance against strategy and operating plans.
12. Plays a key role in the competitive analysis process.

What you'll bring:

1. 5+ years of business finance or other relevant experience (Financial Services of P&C Insurance experience considered an asset).
2. Advanced proficiency with Excel formulas and functions is required. Also willing to independently search for efficient alternatives to build effective Excel models.
3. BA, BS, or B.Com degree required (Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting/Finance/Economics).
4. Pursuing CPA or CPA designated.
5. Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
6. Great communication skills with a variety of business partners.
