We are currently hiring for a Finance Manager role within our highly professional and strategically focused business partnering team, reporting to the VP, PI FP&A, Performance and business partnering. Working with the end state in mind is conceptual in approach and can assist in managing the full spectrum of strategic/financial activities. Supports FP&A in cross-functional knowledge integration from various enabling areas.
What you'll do:
- Understands key financial and operational performance drivers and helps integrate them consistently into our business management reporting processes.
- Support the development/refinement of appropriate efficiency metrics, dashboards and financial/non-financial KPIs to enable effective performance management.
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare financial performance reporting for monthly leadership reviews. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Develop detailed financial models to evaluate the potential return on investment (ROI) and cost-benefit analysis for projects.
- Build and maintain forecasting models to predict future trends and business performance.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage and analyze information that is predictive and useful.
- Participates effectively in the development of business planning models that reflect key drivers of value and competitive environment.
- Actively participates on cross-functional teams within the business.
- Assist the business by providing a consistent approach in measuring its performance against strategy and operating plans.
- Plays a key role in the competitive analysis process.
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years of business finance or other relevant experience (Financial Services of P&C Insurance experience considered an asset).
- Advanced proficiency with Excel formulas and functions is required. Also willing to independently search for efficient alternatives to build effective Excel models.
- BA, BS, or B.Com degree required (Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting/Finance/Economics).
- Pursuing CPA or CPA designated.
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
- Great communication skills with a variety of business partners.
