Job Title: Collections Manager (6-Month Contract - Maternity Leave Coverage)

Location: Hybrid (2 days/week in office)
Duration: 6 months

Job Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on Collections Manager to cover a maternity leave for a 6-month contract. This role is focused on people management, daily oversight, and ensuring timely collections and cash application activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and thrives in a role where proactive follow-up and team accountability are key to success.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a team of 10 cash applicators and credit collectors, ensuring daily tasks are completed and collections are on track.
  2. Oversee and track collection activities, follow-ups, write-offs, and escalations.
  3. Maintain and review daily checklists to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
  4. Monitor and forecast incoming cash based on collection performance.
  5. Review and support journal entries related to cash application.
  6. Ensure adherence to internal processes and timelines.
  7. Provide regular reporting and updates to leadership on collection status and forecast variances.
Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience in collections, cash application, and people management.
  2. Strong understanding of journal entries and accounting processes related to cash flow.
  3. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  4. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  5. Comfortable with a hands-on, detail-oriented management approach.
