Job summary

The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) in Yellowknife seeks an experienced Manager of Financial Planning and Operations. The role oversees portfolio budgeting, consolidations, and reporting across multiple divisions, working closely with staff at all levels to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualified candidates have a CPA designation, a commerce degree, 5+ years in financial management, and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of financial planning and budget development concepts.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze and prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and Windows-based tools.
  • Bachelor of Commerce with Accounting/Finance; CPA designation; 5 years financial management and 1 year supervisory experience.
  • Experience consolidating organization-wide budgeting and variance reporting.
  • Experience with compensation and benefits review and analysis.
  • Experience managing annual budget development and consolidation across divisions.
  • Experience performing historical trend analysis to support budgeting and funding requests.
  • Experience with COA management and CIHI reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee portfolio of branches and regions within the NTHSSA and consolidate organization-wide materials.
  • Collaborate with staff at all levels and with Health and Social Services partners.
  • Ensure compliance with GNWT policies, GAAP, PSAS, FAA and related legislation and manuals.
