Spanning Central, South and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed security guard, mobile services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Finance Manager, Analysis & Systems to join our finance team. Be part of our finance transformation as we modernize and automate legacy systems and processes. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you\'ll coordinate the technical implementation of system improvements while learning CGL\'s business processes. This role combines hands-on project coordination with financial analysis, revenue management, and business partnership with the operations team. Position Summary
  • Job type: Full-time permanent
  • Reports to: Director, Finance
  • Anticipated start date: November 2025
  • Salary: $75,000 to $80,000 plus benefits
  • Hours of work: 8 am- 4 pm, Monday through Friday; Hybrid (1 day remote each week)

What You\'ll Learn & Develop
  • Systems Implementation Leadership: Coordinate major systems transformation across the team.
  • Contract Expertise: Master complex revenue recognition and compliance requirements.
  • Strategic Finance Skills: Build business intelligence, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
  • Team Leadership: Develop management skills with a team of two—one Business Analyst who drives reporting and database management in the business, and an AR Specialist who controls contract accounting for the company.
  • Customer Service: Support the operations team by ensuring smooth management of client queries.
  • Business Partnering skills: You will be the business partner to our regional managers.
  • Industry Knowledge: Your work will involve a deep dive into the Canadian security services sector.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Systems and Business Process Enhancement (40% of role)
    • Lead major systems transformation
    • Enhance CGL’s finance systems and build on existing functionality
    • Support data migration planning and testing processes
    • Assist with change management
    • Help enhance/optimize system integration to drive team and organizational efficiency
    • Work with external consultants on technical implementation
  • Revenue Analysis & Government Contracts (30% of role)
    • Develop expertise in complex contract accounting
    • Learn government contract billing and revenue recognition
    • Support compliance monitoring and reporting processes
    • Assist with contract performance analysis and margins
    • Develop revenue forecasting models with guidance
    • Support commercial contract financial analysis
    • Play a role in annual government contracts budget review process
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting (20% of role)
    • Prepare monthly management reports and variance analysis
    • Support annual budgeting and regular forecasting
    • Develop KPI dashboards and business performance metrics
    • Assist with pricing analysis for new service offerings
  • Team Coordination & Development (10% of role)
    • Coordinate with Business Analyst and AR Specialist
    • Learn team leadership skills through direct experience
    • Collaborate effectively with Finance Manager (Operations & Controls)
Requirements
  • Essential Requirements
    • Education: CPA designation with 3-5 years post-qualification experience
    • ERP Interest: ERP user experience; eager to learn implementation processes
    • Analytical Skills: Strong Excel skills, comfortable with data analysis
    • Growth Mindset: Curious, prepared to challenge the status quo and adapt AI/Tech solutions to improve business efficiency
    • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder coordination
    • Professional services industry experience a must (consulting, etc.)
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Security experience an advantage but not essential
    • Some exposure to government contracts or public sector
    • Project management exposure or change management experience
    • Power BI, SQL, or other data analysis tool familiarity
    • Interest in or exposure to technology platforms
