Job summary

Kassen Recruitment is seeking a Finance Manager to join its finance team in Vancouver. The role focuses on financial reporting, technical accounting, and collaboration with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be a CPA with 4–6 years of progressive experience, strong analytical skills, and experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and robust financial controls.

Qualifications

• CPA designation is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
• 4–6 years of progressive experience in public accounting, industry, or a combination.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, technical accounting, and month-end close processes.
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting external audits.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
• Experience working with ERP or enterprise accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting working papers.
• Assist in preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements and management reporting.
• Research accounting matters and prepare technical accounting documentation.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support process improvement initiatives by developing and enhancing accounting procedures and controls.
• Partner with operational teams to provide accounting guidance and improve financial reporting accuracy.
• Participate in profit and loss reviews and provide recommendations to strengthen reporting and cost control.
• Assist with tax provision support and year-end reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit deliverables and timelines.
