Job description

Our Client a Global Player in the Financial Services Sector are looking to attract a very experienced and highly motivated Finance Manager to join their Dublin-based financial reporting team on a 12 month Contract basis. This position is ideal for a qualified accountant with significant experience in financial reporting within a multinational (re)insurance environment or professional consultancy. This role will primarily support a newly acquired regional insurance group with operations across the MENA Region. Based in Dublin, occasional travel will be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior member of the Dublin financial reporting team. Collaborate with finance, actuarial, and management teams across MENA subsidiaries to ensure timely and accurate delivery of the Company's consolidated financial reporting obligations.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across MENA and Toronto, including C-suite executives, to drive alignment and deliver optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and mentor talent within the Dublin and MENA finance teams. Facilitate cross-training initiatives to enhance team capabilities and collaboration.
  • Support strategic transformation and operational improvement initiatives across MENA. Ensure effective planning, communication, and team engagement to enable successful change implementation.
  • Analyze complex issues, synthesize insights, and deliver clear, actionable solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a hands-on commitment to delivering high-quality outputs that meet or exceed business expectations.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with 10+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting within a multinational (re)insurance company, group, or advisory firm.
  • Deep technical knowledge of IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 17.
  • Strong understanding of corporate reporting, including consolidation and investment accounting.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with a collaborative and empathetic approach.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—clear, confident, and audience-aware.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
