Job summary

Canadian Accounting Consultants is recruiting a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with 5+ years of post-graduate experience to support IFRS and revenue recognition across multiple business units in a fast-paced software/tech environment.

The role includes leadership of a two-person finance team, strategic partnership with operational stakeholders, and involvement in budgeting, forecasting, and due diligence for acquisitions. Strong integrity and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• CPA designation and training at a major public accounting firm.
• 5+ years of post-graduate experience supporting IFRS and revenue recognition.
• Proven management and leadership capabilities.
• Experience in software or technology industries preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with cross-functional teams.
• Experience handling a strategic, full-stack finance role with exposure to M&A.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting in compliance with IFRS, focusing on Revenue Recognition.
• Support and oversee consolidation and reporting for multiple entities.
• Act as a strategic business partner to operational stakeholders across units.
• Contribute to FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support acquisition integration projects, including financial due diligence and reporting.
• Provide insights to support M&A decision-making and post-acquisition integration.
• Manage a team of two direct reports, fostering development and high performance.

They are seeking a progressive Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with over 5 years of post-graduate experience, trained at a major public accounting firm, who thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple initiatives across diverse business units. Key responsibilities and oversight:

• Lead financial reporting in accordance with IFRS, particularly Revenue Recognition.
