The Opportunity

The Finance Manager is a key operational leadership role, responsible for managing the day-to-day financial functions of the business and overseeing the finance team. You’ll work closely with our Finance Director to ensure reporting, forecasting, and controls are effective, while maintaining the integrity of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations & Controls: Manage daily finance operations, oversee consultant payments and onboarding, coordinate payroll with external providers, supervise stock take processes, and ensure compliance with HMRC and internal controls.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Produce monthly management accounts, generate weekly KPI reports, handle PHIN and VAT reporting, and identify revenue and cost optimization opportunities.
• Team Management & Oversight: Lead revenue and cost accountancy workstreams, ensure accurate financial data entry in Xero, and support performance reviews and team development.
• Continuity & Issue Resolution: Maintain knowledge of finance workstreams, provide cover during absences, and escalate operational finance issues as needed.

Your Profile

We seek a candidate with technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively. Requirements include:

• Experience in a finance management or senior operational finance role with line management responsibilities
• Proficiency in Xero and financial reporting systems
• Ability to manage small teams and communicate effectively across departments
• Full ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
• Proactive, accountable, and detail-oriented attitude
