We are looking for a Manager - Finance & Accounting to join the team at Gemini Software Corp. This is a hybrid role with the main office being in Markham, Ontario.

Position Summary :

Our Finance & Accounting Managers at Gemini are strong accountants with knowledge of the software industry and excellent communication, business, and analytical skills. They work closely with our business units and are responsible for the oversight, month-end / quarter-end close, and forecasting of those businesses.

What you'll do :

• Month-end / quarter-end close in the financial system Microsoft Great Plains (GP)
• Prepare and oversee month-end / quarter-end deliverables to other teams (i.e. Corporate, Internal Audit, Tax) and external parties (i.e. External Auditors)
• Manage monthly billing and invoicing process, working with customers and business team to ensure accuracy
• Assist with contract management as related to the billing process
• Work closely with business managers on the monthly forecast; ensure accuracy of forecast for reporting
• Engage in a process of continuous improvement to use tools to automate as much of the financial reporting processes as possible
• Manage ad-hoc projects and analytics as required
• Be proactive in ensuring processes are completed end-to-end and all deliverables are submitted in a timely manner by the team
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and proactively identify, review, and implement process improvements

What you'll bring to the team :

Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in Finance or similar role

Professional Accounting Designation is required

Financial knowledge in the software

A strong understanding of accounting guidelines

Strong communication skills

We use Microsoft Office and Great Plains and experience with each is a major plus
