Job description

Westgate Honda has an opportunity for an F&I Manager to join our family-owned and operated dealership. Westgate Honda is experiencing great growth in our sales department and would like to offer the right person the chance to contribute to a sales team that delivers exceptional customer satisfaction. For over 46 years, Westgate Honda has believed in exceeding our customers’ expectations and has achieved the Honda Driving Excellence award.

The F&I Manager is responsible for developing ongoing and long-term relationships with customers and is knowledgeable in matters of financing, insurance and warranties. As a team player the F&I Manager strives to develop collaborative relationships throughout the dealership.

Job Duties :

  • Sell financing, mechanical repair service contracts, GAP insurance, credit insurance and other Aftermarket products to clients.
  • Utilize dealership management systems and procedures to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of manufacturer products, rebates, financing, leasing and incentive programs.
  • Read, understand and adhere to all rules, regulations and procedures as required by the employer, Honda Canada and OMVIC.
  • Work in strict compliance with the laws of Ontario and Canada.
  • Ensure all work performed is thorough, accurate and completed on time.
  • Prepare all documentation, contracts, registration, submission, funding, commissioning, etc. related to all transactions and sales / leases of vehicles.
  • Maintain all reports and records as required by the manufacturer, dealership and suppliers.
  • Attend sponsored training as scheduled.
  • Ensure quotes for products and services are competitive.
  • Establish and maintain strong and professional relationships with all financial institutions, manufacturer finance centres and third-party vendors.
  • Keep customers and staff updated on the progress for vehicle delivery.
  • Consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a positive outcome and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist the sales and management team maintain and organize / clean the lot presentation.

Skills and Competencies :

  • Valid OMVIC certification.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as on their own.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude.
  • Excellent verbal communication and pleasant demeanor.
  • Self-motivating with a strong work ethic.
  • Organized and pays high attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem solve and deal with difficult situations.
  • Computer skills and understanding of technology.
  • Flexible and open to change.
  • Team player
  • Results-oriented and accountable.
  • Experience with Dealership Management Systems is considered an asset.
