Michipicoten First Nation in Ontario is seeking a full-time Finance Intern to handle day-to-day receivable functions, process invoices, record receipts, and support monthly reporting under the Finance Administrator.
This hands-on internship covers accounts payable support, annual audit assistance, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Candidates must be Indigenous, a new entrant, 18+, and legally allowed to work in Canada; valid drivers license and reliable transport are preferred.

Michipicoten is seeking a full-time Finance Intern. Reporting to the Finance Administrator, the Finance Intern is responsible for day-to-day receivable functions for Michipicoten First Nation (MFN) and for ensuring that financial transactions are entered accurately, on time, and in compliance with relevant regulations and policies. This job entails bank and cheque reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, as well as other analysis-based compilations as required to support financial reporting.
This internship will provide hands-on experience in Indigenous Financial Administration and offer professional development in a culturally grounded workplace. This position is contingent upon funding approval.
