While there are three focus areas and clusters, we are not seeking to create silos. We are looking for individuals who display the Finance Mindset & Behaviors, and will support a living organism that will leverage the business knowledge and financial expertise of the network to deliver exceptional results for Finance and Roche.
As a member of eCoE, you will bring strong technical expertise together with the ability to work in a self-aligning team with minimal hierarchy. You will be a catalyst for the Finance transformation and work effectively as an influencer, and leaning in as coach and catalyst to the Finance network as needed. You have a passion to pilot new approaches and constructively challenge the status quo. You can tolerate ambiguity.
The Opportunity:
As a member of the Study Management Finance team in the Pharma R&D OBC of the eCOE, you will be responsible for providing finance support to global clinical study teams. You will collaborate with R&D FEPs, RSS, and Procurement to ensure integrity of the financials and support decision making.
Enabling accurate line of sight for study costs in partnership with R&D FEPs
Executing accrual methodologies, ensuring they are fit for purpose and reflect service delivery and study progress
Providing decision support via analytics and insights
Managing the E2E month end close, from coordination with RSS to variance analysis for supported clinical studies
Ensuring financial compliance; ownership of internal controls and interactions with internal and external audit
Supporting business with training on relevant systems, processes and tools
Evolving digital solutions in areas of responsibility in line with the eCoE’s MTOs to drive efficiency and effectiveness
Contributing actively as a member of Pharma R&D OBC, at times to work packages beyond your core areas of responsibility and according to prioritized business needs.
Who You Are:
You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting - MA/MBA preferred
5-7+ years of experience in Finance preferably in a global setting
Financial backbone knowledge, with a notable emphasis on cost management, accounting/accruals, FP&A
Proactive, result- and future-orientated and able to effectively engage/ collaborate with diverse groups of stakeholders
Systems and tools proficiency e.g. SAP, SAC, BOA, etc.
Ability to achieve impact by marrying data with knowledge
Quick learner, critical thinker, and desire to drive process improvements
Personal accountability and leadership skills to drive results and deliver on commitments
Fluent in English, showcasing an ability to operate seamlessly in a multicultural, data-rich environment.
