THE TEAM

The mission of the Business Finance Department is to maximize Aritzia's financial performance and drive business objectives through strategic financial insight.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing and our Business Finance team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for producing insightful financial analysis, effectively managing Aritzia's financial assets and providing senior leadership with the required information and analysis to make informed business decisions. As the Financial Analyst/ Senior Financial Analyst, Business Finance, Retail, you will support with providing strategic and innovative solutions to support the business in achieving both short and long-term corporate objectives. THE ROLE

As the Financial Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst, Business Finance, Retail, you will:

  • Plan and forecast retail expenses (inclusive of labour, travel and other expenses) in the short and long term in alignment with departmental and corporate objectives and strategies
  • Identify opportunities, assess financial impacts, and ensure optimal execution of retail expenses
  • Monitor, evaluate and respond to key performance indicators that are relevant to retail expenses in partnership with retail leaders
  • Provide Retail and Finance leadership with visibility into performance results with relevant and timely intelligence on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis where relevant
  • Build and manage the tools that provide visibility and transparency into financial and operational performance
  • Support with the period close process and performance analysis for retail expenses
  • Support the Business Finance team and Retail Leadership Team with any ad hoc requests relevant to retail expenses, in addition to any stretch projects.
THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Financial Analyst/ Senior Financial Analyst, Business Finance, Retail has:
  • Proven skills, certifications, education and/or experience in:
  • Financial planning and analysis
  • Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Retail finance experience is an asset
  • A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
  • The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners
  • A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business
THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $75,000- $130,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
