Finance Director
Location: Surrey (Hybrid)

Are you a commercially focused Finance Director looking to shape the future of a dynamic, fast-growing creative and media services business?

The business delivers integrated print, marketing, creative and digital solutions to some of the UK’s most recognisable brands and is proud of its continued growth.

With several locations across the UK, it has recently upgraded its systems, including a new MIS platform, to support the next stage of development.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and with a dotted line to the Group Finance Director, you will lead all financial activities across the business and play a crucial role in driving performance, managing risk, and delivering strategic insights.

You will be responsible for managing a team of finance professionals and delivering timely, accurate financial reporting to both internal and Group stakeholders.

Key areas of accountability include:

Business Performance & Reporting:

• Sales and margin reporting
• Weekly ‘Work in Progress’ and cashflow updates (13-week rolling)
• Bottom-up annual budgets and monthly sales targets
• Monthly management accounts (delivered within 8 working days)
• Quarterly forecasts, annual business plan and statutory accounts
• Board and Group-level KPI reporting and financial commentary
• Strategic & Operational Finance:
• Business planning and commercial risk management
• Project and process improvements to support scalability
• Overseeing VAT compliance, including EU VAT
• Year-end audit management and tax submissions
• Oversight of credit control and working capital

Leadership:

• Mentoring and developing the finance team
• Driving a high-performance culture within finance
• Collaborating with operational teams to support financial understanding and performance

About You

You are an experienced Finance Director or senior finance leader ready to step into a Director-level role, with a hands-on approach and a sharp commercial mind.

Essential:

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ICAEW / ACCA)
• At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience
• Proven ability to manage teams and deliver financial reporting to deadlines
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-based environment
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
