We are recruiting for a detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to join our team in our Toronto office. The successful candidate must have a maximum of 2-3 years experience of accounting or finance and will be responsible for invoice processing, resolving vendor and business inquiries within the team’s standard deadlines and assisting with month-end, quarter-end and year-end process. As a Finance Coordinator you will be responsible for:

  • Processing invoices with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring correct amounts, currencies, expense codes, and billing entities are correct.
  • Responding to vendor and internal business inquiries within established service level timelines.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the weekly payment schedule.
  • Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Providing guidance to end users on inquiries related to the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) platform.
  • Assisting in preparing account and supplier reconciliations for financial reporting and accounts payable.
  • Supporting the annual financial audit process as required.
  • Contributing to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Handling ad-hoc requests and special projects as needed.

As our ideal candidate, you will distinguish yourself by the following profile:

  • Maximum 2-3 years of accounting or finance experience and a related undergraduate degree.
  • Advanced excel skills, including familiarity with Pivot Tables, H-Lookup, V-Lookup, , or demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
  • High level of accuracy, Strong problem solving skills, to be detail oriented and well organized.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate positive attitude and demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
  • High ownership, accountability and willingness to learn.
  • Experience in Coupa Database and Business Intelligence experience (e.g. SQL or other database software) is an asset.
