Job description

Overview

The AR Accounting Analyst is responsible for all daily and period end AR accounting reconciliations, AR Factoring responsibilities and Cash Flow reporting to PepsiCo US Treasury. Prompt identification/follow up with stakeholders to ensure AR balances and customer records are accurate. Balance AR Sub-ledger daily and meet period end AR reconciliations deadlines. The role is also responsible for managing intercompany accounts and intercompany transactions. Success in this role will require results driven behavior, strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and strong technical ability.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor SAP AR transactional activities and resolve any variances timely to ensure accurate daily balancing.
  • Daily Bank Balancing with AR and processing of returned payments (Cheques, PAD and E-Check).
  • Prepare period-end AR Sub-Ledger to General Ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare/manage all daily/weekly reporting and journal entries – i.e., Lockbox transmissions, AR reporting, US Treasury reports, Trade Suspense.
  • Manage intercompany and donation related accounts.
  • Create Ad-hoc reporting as per business needs.
  • Assist with external audit requirements and data gathering as required.
  • Partner with Cash team to ensure cash is applied timely and in accordance with SLAs particularly at period end.
  • The role is responsible for preparing all period end AR Factoring spreadsheets and reporting requirements.
  • Key point person to AR and Accounting teams for queries relating to SAP AR entries
Qualifications
  • High degree of technical expertise to easily complete tasks that require data from multiple systems.
  • Minimum of 2 years AR accounting work experience.
  • Extensive software proficiency covering a wide variety of applications. Strong skills in MS Office including Outlook and Excel with the ability to perform v-lookups and pivot tables and advanced formulas.
  • High degree of analytical thinking with the ability to identify, scrutinize and complete account reconciliations and accounting entries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities regularly.
  • Ability to work on weekends, including statutory holidays, during period close.
