Job description

Title: Finance and Incentive Analyst (P1) (Entry Level)

Location: Remote Canada

Reports To: Finance and Incentive Supervisor

The Role:

As a Finance and Incentive Data Analyst, you will research and interpret incentive (marketing) and automotive data to meet our high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and completeness, driven by client demand. You may work as a shared resource between our Incentives and Automotive Data departments, depending on work assignment priorities.

Your work will significantly impact the automotive industry by providing accurate, timely, and complete incentive data sets that support manufacturers in selling more vehicles.

What You'll Be Doing in This Role:

Core Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn and understand incentive marketing programs in the automotive industry through training and self-directed research.
  • Research incentive programs on the Internet and from other sources.
  • Analyze and interpret incentive programs and enter the data into Autodata Corp’s business system using internal transaction tools.
  • Provide quality control (QC) support for incentive data in databases and products.
  • Audit data monthly and quarterly.

Qualifications of this Role:

  • Post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of common computer and basic Internet technologies.
  • Good communication skills (written, oral, and presentation).
  • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Exceptionally self-motivated, directed, and detail oriented.
  • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to work periodic monthly overtime during peak periods.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice to Have:

  • PC Skills with MS Office Applications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power PDF, and Outlook are highly desirable.
  • Finance/Math/Statistics (Data Analytics/Data Science): A background in finance, mathematics, or statistics, particularly in data analytics or data science, will be beneficial.
  • Dealership Experience (Finance and Incentives): Experience working in a dealership, especially in finance and incentives, provides valuable insights into the automotive industry's operational and financial aspects.
  • Understanding Regular Expressions: Proficiency in using regular expressions to identify different patterns in data is a plus.
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer service roles is advantageous.
  • Automotive Knowledge: A strong understanding of the automotive industry, including trends, technologies, and market dynamics, is beneficial.
