POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Finance Manager – Operations, the Finance Analyst provides financial support and analysis to the finance and plant management teams. The role requires close collaboration with plant management to identify opportunities for improving results and controls within the plant. This position is responsible for executing standard control processes on assets and ensuring the accuracy of all plant financial reporting.

- Act as a champion for our culture by participating in the development and execution of a positive and productive environment focused on the needs of our people.
- Ensure all company financial policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Provide accurate cost reporting and analysis to the plant management team.
- Investigate variances, analyze production data, and provide explanations to management.
- Ensure adherence to tight month-end schedules, prepare closing journal entries, and complete account reconciliations.
- Interpret financial results.
- Calculate and update product costs, including Standard Costing updates.
- Perform periodic analysis of overhead spending and provide management with the necessary information for future spending decisions.
- Work with the plant team to ensure financial documents and business case write-ups provide pertinent analysis and sufficient justification for capital expenditures.
- Support the overall budget process for the plant, working with functional managers and finance team members.
- Serve as the onsite C3 custodian to ensure critical inventory and purchasing procedures are in control, and responsible for Quarterly Self-Test submissions.
- Provide guidance to non-finance members regarding issues of financial control and compliance.
- Support Production Management and Material Control with regular inventory count reviews, re-counts, and random verification checks when required.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Business, considered an asset, or a combination of relevant education and work experience.
- Accounting Designation or actively working towards CPA.
- Must possess strong skills in:
