Job Description:

Job Title: Finance Administrator
Location: Inwood, Manitoba
Job Type: Part-Time (Approximately 20-30 hours per week)

The Rural Municipality of Armstrong is seeking a Part-Time Finance Administrator to support the finance function by preparing monthly financial reports, journal entries, and assisting with general accounting activities outside of taxation, accounts receivables, accounts payables, and payroll.

Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and review monthly financial reports to support internal and external reporting requirements.
· Create and post monthly journal entries and ensure accurate general ledger entries.
· Assist with monthly and year-end financial closings and reconciliations.
· Monitor financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
· Maintain and update financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
· Utilize Asyst365 software to input, track, and analyze financial information.
· Support internal reporting and provide financial insights to management as needed.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
· Understanding municipal accounting and practices and requirements.
· Other duties as assigned by the CAO.

Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent is required.
· 2 years of financial experience is preferred.
· Proficiency in Asyst365 software is preferred.
· Basic understanding of accounting principles.
