The Office Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting transactions, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. This role supports the finance team in tracking expenses, processing invoices, and reconciling accounts, contributing to the overall financial health and compliance of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and expense reports accurately and on time.

  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.

  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue invoices.

  • Support payroll processing and maintain employee financial records as needed.

  • Assist in budget preparation and tracking of departmental expenses.

  • Collaborate with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders as required.

  • Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Tally) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

  • Good organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
