The Protection Supervisor is responsible for developing and maintaining an experienced team of Integrated Family Services and Intake Workers. The role involves overseeing Child Protection reports of abuse and neglect, Children in Care Services, and Family Support Services related to prevention and protection. Knowledge of the FSIN Child Welfare and Family Support Act, Provincial Child and Family Services Act, the ISC Child in Care Policy Saskatchewan Region Manual, the Structured Decision-Making System (SDM), and the Provincial Child Abuse Protocol is essential. The supervisor must interpret provincial/federal legislation and funding agreements and provide leadership to promote healthy, positive working relationships. Good interpersonal and communication skills are required, along with the ability to monitor and evaluate case management quality measures. Ability to handle stress, ambiguity, and conflict situations is necessary. Knowledge of Cree, Nakota, and Saulteaux cultures, as well as the political and social development systems of YTL-YTCCFS Inc., is preferred.
