Job summary

Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. is seeking an Underground Shift Supervisor for the Red Chris Mine in northern British Columbia. The role requires strong leadership and a focus on safety and efficiency in underground development work.

You will supervise daily underground activities, coordinate equipment and crews, and ensure compliance with OHSA and Barminco policies. A valid BC ShiftBoss and First Aid, plus a drivers license, are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid BC ShiftBoss certification required.
• First Aid certification and Transportation Endorsement required.
• Ability to read and understand mining instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise day-to-day underground mining activities.
• Ensure safety compliance with OHSA and company policies.
• Plan and coordinate mining equipment and operations to meet the mine plan.
• Maintain daily development reports and data logging.
• Conduct pre-shift safety briefings and incident investigations as needed.
• Mentor crew members and uphold Barminco safety standards.
