QM Environmental is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage exciting and impactful projects. Contract : 4 - 6 months Project Execution
- Complete erosion and sediment control inspections
- Complete soil, groundwater, VOC and air monitoring
- Be present on Construction site during working hours to oversee construction tasks from Oversee dust prevention, erosion controls, and environmental monitoring at excavation Work closely with Site supervisor & site consultant to resolve environmental issues that present themselves, following the site specific Environmental Protection Plan.
- Administrative Duties, recording all observations in Environmental inspection log, complete Manage project resources and execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with company financial targets.
- Handle billing, purchase orders, and all site documentation (Health & Safety, permits, etc.).
- Oversee project field data, employee hours, and ensure compliance with QM’s Health & Safety programs. Foster and maintain strong client relationships to ensure project satisfaction and identify potential business opportunities.
- Ensure that all projects exceed industry standards and comply with QM’s Health & Safety policies.
- Be proactive in creating a safe work environment for all staff, contractors, and stakeholders. Experience working on remediation and / or contaminated site (Required)
- Working knowledge and experience with erosion and sediment controls (Required)
- Working knowledge and experience with various sampling equipment (Soil, groundwater, VOC, and air monitoring techniques) (Required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience (Co-op experience included) in project coordination.
- Proven experience in construction estimating and reviewing environmental site assessments.
- Strong understanding of remediation solutions, contaminated site conditions, and environmental legislation.
- Experience managing the full project lifecycle, including resource allocation, contract management, and financial oversight.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex environmental challenges, especially in marine or contaminated land projects.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and financial accounting systems. Certified Engineering Technologist or Professional Engineer designations are an asset, but not required. A collaborative and supportive team to help you succeed.
