Job summary

Onstream Inspection, a division of MISTRAS Group Inc., is seeking a Field Technician to support inline inspection (ILI) projects across North America. You will prepare, deploy, monitor, and recover inspection tools while performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on equipment in the field.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and willingness to travel up to 75% to support energy-sector clients in various field environments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License required.
  • Passport is a nice-to-have for cross-border travel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist or lead the launching, tracking, and receiving of inline inspection tools (tethered and free-swimming).
  • Perform preliminary field data assessments during inspection projects.
  • Maintain tools, parts, and supplies for field operations.
  • Communicate professionally with clients onsite throughout project execution.
  • Safely perform work in a variety of environments, including high-traffic and confined spaces.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical maintenance on inline inspection tools and equipment.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical systems.
  • Inspect, prepare, and test tools before deployment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Verify refurbished equipment meets quality, safety, and performance standards.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in logs.
