Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation

Timmins, ON

Today is the day to boost your career! Pinchin’s Sudbury office is offering a 4-month co-op placement for a Field Technician within the Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation group for the May 2025 term.

This position is ideal for students seeking practical, hands-on experience to complement their academic studies. As a valued team member, you will engage in exciting and challenging work, solve real environmental problems, and make a meaningful impact. You will learn about the business and build your professional network by working closely with senior industry professionals.

A Day in the Life of a Project Technologist at Pinchin:

• Conduct groundwater monitoring and sampling
• Conduct soil sampling
• Oversee utility locates
• Shadow and supervise drilling and monitoring well installations
• Inspect and test during environmental remediations
• Summarize data and drawings
• Maintain and enhance quality control within the group
• Liaise between clients and contractors; maintain existing client relationships and develop new ones

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree or diploma in environmental science, environmental engineering, or water resources engineering
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Relevant work experience is an asset
• Strong ethical principles
• High attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license with sufficient insurance
