Reporting to the Service Manager, theApprentice Field Technician is responsible for but not limited to, day-to-day field and shop maintenance services and performing overhaul of natural gas engines and compressors within the oil and gas industry. This position is located in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

We seek a candidate who has a core foundation of integrity and is willing and able to use commitment and creativity to drive our organization towards success.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties
  • Attend formal apprenticeship training as per trade program and applicable Enerflex policy.
  • With direction and mentorship of Journeyman and supervisory shop staff, dismantle, clean, inspect and assemble engines, compressors and related components as per applicable OEM and Enerflex procedures and standards.
  • Gain experience working on large stationary natural gas equipment.
  • Learn to conduct preventative maintenance inspections, repairs and overhauls of equipment.
  • Observe commissioning and installation of new packages.
  • Comply with all company quality, and Health and Safety work procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Enrolled or willingness to enroll in apprenticeship training and gain on the job experience working alongside highly skilled, qualified Journeyman.
  • Highly motivated and well organized.
  • Must have and maintain a positive and professional attitude and work ethic.
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Clean drivers abstract must be provided at time of hire.
