Caltech Surveys Ltd. in Fort St. John, BC, is seeking a Field Supervisor to lead a survey crew across oil and gas, construction, and land development projects.

You will oversee field activities, ensure safety, accuracy, and timely completion while coordinating with Project Managers and clients. The ideal candidate has a geomatics-related degree, field surveying experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Geomatics, Surveying, or a related discipline.
• Field surveying experience, ideally within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of field survey practices, equipment, and data collection.
• The ability to lead, coach, and motivate others.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to safety, accuracy, and quality.
• The ability to manage changing priorities without compromising the quality of your work.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather, terrain, and environmental conditions.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to successfully complete required pre-access drug and alcohol testing.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Field Supervisor, you will lead a survey crew and perform field survey work for construction, pipeline, oil and gas, land development, and legal surveying projects. You will oversee the surveying process in the field, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with established standards and procedures.
