Job summary

Tenaris Edmonton is seeking a Field Services Representative to work at rig locations across Alberta and Northern British Columbia, providing technical expertise, inspecting products and ensuring running practices are followed.

You will support end users, liaise with customer representatives, and contribute to service reports, with on-call rotation and travel required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the Oilfield Service Industry preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with frequent travel.
  • Ability to work independently and perform field work.
  • Good mechanical knowledge and basic computer skills.
  • Physically capable for field assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures correct use of Tenaris running practices and performs well site preparations, running, and repair of Tenaris Premium Connections.
  • Provide technical support and liaise with customer representatives to ensure optimal product installation and performance.
  • Follow up with customer representatives regarding product/service perceptions to identify improvements.
  • Responsible for completing service reports.
  • Engage in ongoing training and knowledge updates on Tenaris standards and procedures.
  • Gather feedback from field and industry on perception of Tenaris and competitors.

Role:

Our Field Services team is an important part of our business, providing the end user support our customers demand in the field. In this role, you will be responsible to work with our clients at rig locations in Alberta and Northern British Columbia, to provide technical expertise, inspect our products and ensure our recommended Running Practices are adhered to.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures correct use of Tenaris recommended practices, well site preparations and running, as well as repairing of Tenaris Premium Connections, prevention of potential problems and incidents.
  • Provide technical support and directly liaising with customer representative to assure the product is installed in the most efficient manner allowing the product to perform to its optimum design potential.
  • Follow up on customer’s representative about Tenaris perception (products and services) to identify potential areas to improve.
  • Responsible for service report fulfilment.
  • Continuous training and knowledge development of Tenaris standards and procedures.
  • Gathers and provides feedback from the field and industry of perception of Tenaris and competitor products, service levels and technical innovations.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in the industry is considered an asset. Preferably as a Connection Make-Up Supervisor, Thread Inspector or Computer Torque monitoring operator.
  • Experience in tubular running services is be considered an asset.
  • Proven Oilfield Service Industry knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, have good mechanical knowledge and basic computer skills.
  • Physically capable to perform required field work.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License with the ability to travel frequently.

Please note: Tenaris requires all employees to pass a drug and alcohol test as well as fit test, prior to employment.

Schedule & Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work varied hours and a rotational on-call schedule is a requirement for this position.
