About The Role

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional service and making a positive impact in your community? Join us at ATCO Electric Yukon as a Field Services Representative, under the general supervision of the Operations Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of keeping Yukon’s energy systems running smoothly—whether you’re verifying meters, supporting system audits, or assisting with powerline maintenance, your work will directly impact thousands of customers across the territory.

What You’ll Do:
  • Meter verifications, trouble shooting and manual meter reading.
  • Installation of meters, installation, and removal of load limiting devices.
  • Removal of meters on delinquent accounts (cut off for non-payment).
  • Order, receive, and maintain meter inventory as requested.
  • System audits/verifications (e.g. map updates, streetlight count, lights out patrols, asset verifications).
  • May assist with traffic control around construction worksites.
  • May assist and/or support the checking of construction following clear instructions (e.g. underground trench inspections before cover-up).
  • May assist Power Line Technician with powerline inspection, maintenance and operating duties (no pole climbing required).
  • Administration support for field staff as required (e.g. line patrol documentation, etc.).
  • Use of ATCO-CCS and/or related programs.
  • Complete plant checks.
  • Other duties as required.
What You Bring:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid and appropriate vehicle operator’s license.
  • Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel spreadsheets and mainframe applications.
  • Some experience in the areas of customer service and/or office administration.
  • Accurate data entry and word processing skills.
  • Mapping skills would be considered an asset.
  • Mathematical and reasoning skills.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • This position requires some travel.
  • Will be required to complete First Aid and CPR training.
