Job summary

ATCO Electric Yukon is seeking a Field Services Representative in Whitehorse to support meter verifications, audits, and maintenance tasks across the territory. You will operate under supervision to ensure reliable service for thousands of customers.

This 2-year term includes a starting bi-weekly salary of $2,665.60, with a 5.2% northern allowance and a $680 monthly supplement, plus flexible benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
• Accurate data entry and basic word processing required.
• Experience in customer service or office administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify meters, perform meter reading and troubleshooting.
• Install and remove meters and load limiting devices.
• Maintain meter inventory and assist with system audits.
• Support traffic control around worksites as needed.
• Provide admin support for field staff and document line patrols.
• Use ATCO CCS and related programs; complete plant checks.

About The Role

Join us at ATCO Electric Yukon as a Field Services Representative,under the general supervision of the Operations Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of keeping Yukon’s energy systems running smoothly—whether you’re verifying meters, supporting system audits, or assisting with powerline maintenance, your work will directly impact thousands of customers across the territory.

What You’ll Do:

• Meter verifications, trouble shooting and manual meter reading.
• Installation of meters, installation,and removal of load limiting devices.
• Removal of meters on delinquent accounts (cut off for non-payment).
• Order, receive, and maintain meter inventory as requested.
• System audits/verifications (e.g.map updates, streetlight count, lights out patrols, asset verifications).
• May assist with traffic control around construction worksites.
• May assist and/or support the checking of construction following clear instructions (e.g.underground trench inspections beforecoverup).
• May assist Power Line Technician with powerlineinspection, maintenance and operating duties (no pole climbing required).
• Administration support for field staff as required (e.g.line patrol documentation, etc.).
• Use ofATCO CCS and/or related programs.
• Complete plant checks.
• Other duties as required.

What You Bring:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid and appropriate vehicle operator’s license.
• MicrosoftOffice applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel spreadsheets, and mainframe applications.
• Some experience in the areas of customer service and/or office administration.
• Accurate data entry and word processing skills.
• Mapping skills would be considered an asset.
• Mathematical and reasoning skills.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• This position requires some travel.
• Will be required to complete First Aid and CPR training.
