Job summary

Eaton's Electrical division in Canada is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our on-site team in Calgary or Edmonton. The role involves servicing UPS and batteries in high voltage environments at customer sites, with local travel and training.

This position offers a competitive package including pension, medical, dental, tuition reimbursement and paid holidays, plus a provided phone and laptop. Overtime is eligible, and candidates must be able to travel to the US for training.

Qualifications

• College degree/diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Engineering Technology OR Red Seal (309A) Interprovincial Journeyman Electrician Certification/Ticket
• One (1) year of experience with UPS or battery technologies or electronics
• Candidates must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
• Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
• Required to travel to US for product and safety training when necessary

Responsibilities

• Performs emergency and preventive maintenance and installation on a 24/7 on-call basis with regional responsibility
• On-site or in-house servicing and repair of company products
• Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment
• Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related problems
• Travel to the US for training as required
