Description

Toromont Cat is seeking a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment, to visit customer sites in a Toromont Service truck. The role involves providing superior service and product expertise to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and with integrity.

Note : This position operates on a 7 / 7 rotation

Typical daily responsibilities include :

  • Demonstrating a strong work ethic and positive attitude to complete tasks efficiently
  • Practicing safe, environmentally sound work behaviors in line with Toromont’s Health and Safety standards
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues using Caterpillar testing equipment and technical skills
  • Maintaining quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within established timeframes and building trusted customer relationships through regular site visits

Must-have qualifications :

  • Post-secondary education in heavy-duty, heavy engine, or heavy vehicle mechanics
  • Currently hold a 421A license (applicants close to challenging the exam are encouraged to apply)
  • At least 3 years of experience in repair and service of mining heavy equipment, preferably underground mining equipment
  • Familiarity with Cat systems (ET and SIS) is an asset
  • Valid Driver’s License; DZ license preferred
