Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, electrical experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract required.
  • E-Railsafe training required upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Travel weekly to provide installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and training support.
  • Work outdoors on railway tracks under various weather conditions.
  • Liaise with external customers and internal departments.

Who You Are…

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • 0-2 years of hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, electrical experience preferred.
  • Boom crane experience a plus.
  • Require valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract.
  • E-Railsafe required upon hire, plus other customer-based training as may be required to access work sites.

What Do You Need…

  • Experience using basic hand and power tools.
  • Strong communication (verbal and computer) and time management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.) a plus.
  • A high degree of reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are critical attributes for this position.
  • Sound writing skills for work report submissions.
  • Ability and willingness to follow all applicable safety and operating rules for client railways in a professional and conscientious manner.
  • Must wear Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) (Hard Hat, Safety glasses, Gloves, and Hearing protection as required).
  • May be required to act as watchman / lookout, devoting full attention to detecting approaching trains and communicating warnings to personnel.
  • While performing duties, employee may be required to stand, sit, walk, handle objects or controls, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch for prolonged periods.
  • Will be required to operate impact equipment, power tools, hand tools under heavy loads, and manual earth-moving tools as needed for trenching and burying hoses and electrical cables.
  • Overtime hours may be necessary, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities :

  • Travel weekly to provide installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and customer training support for LB Foster friction management lubricators. Extensive travel throughout North America is required.
  • Liaise with external customers and internal departments for product development and relationship-building.
  • Work outdoors on railway tracks under various weather conditions.
  • Manage personal travel expenses, tools, and company-issued credit cards as applicable.
  • Handle basic issues and problems, referring complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
