The Field Services Specialist is required to establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport and communications with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives, and others as appropriate.*This position is remote with up to 70% travel. The Field Services Specialist can reside anywhere in Canada, with a strong preference for individuals in Eastern Ontario, Quebec, The Maritimes, and British Columbia.***AS A FIELD SERVICES SPECIALIST, YOU WILL:*** Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems* Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.* Meet regularly with customers to become familiar with operating problems.* Keep customers informed on the nature of service provided, outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, and or replacement. Promote the sale of add-on work.* Manage assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution of time and customer satisfaction.* Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required.* Assist in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.* Provide field change information to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software.* Keep current on safety bulletins and safety field change notices.* Operate in a safe manner in accordance with published safety guidelines.**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:*** Associate’s (AA) degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school (or equivalent working experience)* 2+ years of experience with HVAC controls or building automation systems field including commissioning and start up.* Strong computer skills required* Effective interpersonal and communication skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.* Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.* Authorized to work in Canada and travel to the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
