Field Service Technician, BC - Overnight Travel Involved

As a Field Service Technician, you'll play a key role in delivering top-tier service by installing, repairing, and maintaining food manufacturing and packaging equipment in our clients facilities. This role offers remote work flexibility but requires regular overnight travel up to 50% of the time. The ideal candidate must live near a major airport, preferably in the Lower Mainland or the Fraser Valley area.

As a customer-focused technical expert, you excel at troubleshooting and repairing equipment, continuously expanding your skills, and strengthening client relationships by delivering added value. Youll be set to succeed by being offered extensive training and will be equipped with everything you need to provide outstanding service to our customers.

Duties :

Investigate customer needs and service their equipment.

Read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications, and service manuals to determine best practices.

Troubleshoot to identify and isolate problems.

Assist customers with finding part numbers and obtaining quotes.

Resolve issues and restore equipment to optimal working conditions.

Document and submit reports and expenses regularly.

Support the sales team and keep them informed.

Track, document, and return parts used on job sites.

Participate in projects to improve equipment safety and performance.

Requirements :

Must have field service experience in maintenance / service, including troubleshooting, and repairing electro-mechanical machinery in the food industry

Previous experience building relationships and trust with customers is a must.

Practical application of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and techniques to ensure equipment performance meets specifications.

Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic power systems, conveyor systems, or control systems.

Strong communication skills and the ability to track job orders on a computer.

Experience repairing or maintaining food processing or automation machinery is highly desirable.

Must be flexible to travel by road and stay overnight or away from home, as required.

An Industrial Electrical ticket is an asset.

Must be able to travel into the USA and hold a valid passport.

Compensation & Work Schedule :

90,000-$110,000 / year.

Comprehensive medical and dental benefits package.

Monthly car allowance plus an additional km allowance for travel in your vehicle.

Training provided initially at Hamilton headquarters in Ontario. The company covers all expenses.

Annual company training trip.
