Job Description

As a Field Service Technician, you will be based out of the Fraser Valley facility and spend 75% of your time travelling globally working on a wide range of marine vessels, from navy ships to luxury yachts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and finding solutions.

You will :

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain marine products on various vessels, including windows, doors, hatches, and cranes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Coordinate with Sales Support for timely responses to in-field service needs.
  • Assist in costing, scheduling, and preparing quotes for service requests.
  • Support other Field Service Technicians with technical guidance.
  • Travel internationally and locally to support customers.

You have :

  • 3-5 years of experience in equipment manufacturing, installation, or repair.
  • Formal training or certifications in Glazing, Electrical (including PLC programming and diagnostics), or Hydraulics.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in the Automotive or Marine Glass Industry is an asset.
  • Knowledge in:
    • Direct bond glazing, glass/window or door installation,
    • Electrical and hydraulic systems—installation, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Certification or training in PLC Programming or Electronics is an asset.
  • Professional appearance, communication, and attitude suitable for customer-facing roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; able to work independently and under pressure.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to complete documentation and reports accurately.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 75% of the time.
  • Mechanical understanding of how moving parts work and how to fix mechanical issues.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Understanding of Service & Warranty processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Basic skills in math, geometry, measurement devices, and metrology.
  • Light fabrication experience with steel or aluminum is an asset.
  • Attention to detail and effective prioritization skills.
