About the Role

The FST1 is a senior field technician responsible for executing projects focused on safety, quality, and efficiency in power delivery and utility sectors. Projects include transformer installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and upgrades, as well as work on high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers. The technician may lead crews and coordinate with vendors, factory operations, and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex field service operations requiring technical expertise.
• Lead and guide less experienced technicians and coordinate project tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively regarding project scope, safety, and incident reports.
• Perform on-site repairs of high voltage electrical equipment, including gas filling, gasket replacement, and testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical diploma or apprenticeship preferred.
• Power System Electrician or Red Seal Electrician certification preferred.
• 5-10 years of related experience in OEM, industrial, or utility power systems.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operation manuals.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with good driving skills.
