Field Service Technician 1 - FST1, (CL, TFA, QEW)

Position Overview

The FST1 is a senior field service technician responsible for executing projects focused on safety, cost, quality, and schedule in the power delivery and utility sector. Responsibilities include transformer assembly, installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and upgrade, as well as work on high voltage gas insulated switchgear, air insulated switchgear, and breakers. The role often involves leading a crew and coordinating with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex field service operations requiring strong technical skills.
  • Lead or assist in project tasks, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment.
  • Communicate effectively regarding project scope, safety, and incidents.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to less experienced technicians.
  • Execute on-site repairs and prepare technical reports.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; technical diploma or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Experience with power systems, OEM or industrial experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and ability to read technical documents.
