Job summary

Linde Canada Inc. in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, repair and maintain liquid argon, CO2 and nitrogen storage containers and gas blenders at customer sites.

This full-time role reports to the Micro Vrac Operations Manager and involves hands-on field work. You will perform installations, calibrations, and routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and participate in an on-call rotation to ensure customer service continuity.

Qualifications

  • Experience with gas piping and pressure vessels; installing plumbing lines; familiarity with drinking fountains and draft beverage systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving at customer sites and remotely.
  • Proficient with computers, tablets, and smartphones (Windows/Android); safety-minded team player.

Responsibilities

  • Install Micro Bulk tanks, gas mixers, nitrogen generators, and gas heaters at customer locations.
  • Perform maintenance on rental equipment and manage related parts inventory.
  • Carry out equipment calibrations and complete licensing/regulatory reports.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on Micro Bulk tank trucks; minimize customer downtime.
  • Participate in paid on-call rotation for evenings and weekends to ensure service continuity.
  • Purchase non-standard parts or urgent replacements to support operations.

Field Service Technician (full time)

Reporting to the Micro Vrac Operations Manager, the Service Technician, is responsible for the installation, repair or maintenance of our liquid argon, CO2 and nitrogen storage containers and gas blenders at customer sites.

What you will enjoy doing*
  • You are responsible to install Micro Bulk tanks, gas mixers, nitrogen generators, and gas heaters at customer locations
  • Perform maintenance on rental equipment and manage related parts inventory is part of your role
  • Furthermore, you will carry out equipment calibrations and complete all required licensing and regulatory reports
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on Micro Bulk tank trucks, ensuring minimal downtime for customers
  • Manage or assist in troubleshooting equipment problems, focusing on efficient resolution
  • You will participate in a paid “on-call” rotation for evenings and weekends to ensure customer service continuity
  • Purchase non-standard parts or urgent replacement items as needed to support operations

  • You have knowledge and experience working with gas piping and pressure vessels, as well as installing plumbing lines, and familiarity with drinking fountains and draft beverage systems

  • Motivated and self-directed, able to work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining excellent organization and attention to detail
  • You are proficient in using computers, tablets, and smartphones running Windows and Android
  • Team player with a strong focus on customer and site safety, capable of working effectively with clients and subcontractors
  • Available to work overtime and stay out of town in hotels when necessary; physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver abstract is preferred

This is an existing position with a starting rate of $39/hour.
