Job description

Mac & Co. Environmental is seeking a Field Service Technician, to provide services to established clients within a designated area from Kingston to Ottawa, Belleville and Pickering. The FST is a critical Customer Service position and a key support liaison between customer and employer. This is an outside field position involving travel in the region which provides environmental wastewater management solutions, commercial kitchen hood and vent cleaning, distribution and repair of dishwashers and related products and services to established clients. The FST is responsible for installing & maintenance of equipment, biological wastewater treatment and services, monitoring monthly programs. FST are the forefront of our business; ensuring that our company’s high standards of policies and procedures are maintained.

Requirements
  • Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • English Language – Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Equipment Maintenance – Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Repairing – Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools (drills, screwdrivers, hammer, jetting hose).
  • Equipment Selection – Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Qualified candidates must meet all requirements:
  • Have a valid, clean G2 driver’s license
  • Provide CPIC and vulnerable sector clearance
  • A High School diploma, GED, or Military Service
  • Be at least 25 years of age (for insurance on company vehicle)
  • Be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Work flexible hours (may vary from day to day) could be 6 a.m to 8 a.m start depending on client need.
  • General knowledge of professional kitchens, plumbing an asset (general handyman/mechanically-inclined, or even automotive repair knowledge)
  • WHMIS, H&S requirements must be obtained prior or completed onsite.
  • Be available for on call once a month
  • Provide references from their previous employer
  • Transportation to Odessa location
