Job Title : Field Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team, specializing in providing essential medical devices and solutions to healthcare facilities. Your role will be crucial in supporting patients with decreased mobility or age-related health challenges by ensuring the effective operation of our mobility and transfer products. This position will involve travel within Kamloops, Vernon, Salmon Arm, and occasionally to other areas.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and provide preventative maintenance and repair services at healthcare facilities.
  • Effectively promote and sell service agreements and products to existing customers.
  • Supervise equipment installation and perform uncrate and assembly services.
  • Instruct customer personnel in the operation and proper use of equipment.
  • Assist sales personnel in marketing all equipment, including joint calls, in-services, and generating sales leads.
  • Maintain an organized parts inventory in a clean company vehicle.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ years of experience with electromechanical repair and maintenance.
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and technical repair skills.
  • Experience using multimeters.
  • Ability to travel to multiple customer sites on a regular basis, including overnight stays when needed.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Customer service experience.
  • Sales experience.
  • Experience in troubleshooting.
  • Relevant experience in photocopy repair, dental equipment repair, HVAC ventilation repair, or maintenance at a care facility or hospital.

    Work Environment

    You will manage your own workload, setting up and scheduling your day and weeks. Start your day from home, traveling for service calls or performing preventative maintenance. There is no physical office location. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, with flexibility to set your schedule. The role involves working in hospitals and long-term care facilities, with no evening or weekend service calls. A company-paid vehicle, gas card, laptop or tablet, and uniform are provided.

    The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $65000.00 / yr.
