Location : Greater Vancouver area, supporting downtown and surrounding areas, traveling 50 to 75 km range
Pay rate : $24.00 + $0.55 / km
Shift Schedule : 40 hours - 4 x 10-hour shifts, may include weekdays and weekends. Training hours may differ.
Training : Techs will be trained on the job for approximately 2-3 weeks, depending on individual progress.
Overview :
Join our client’s dynamic service team for this field service position. Depending on your assigned territory, you will provide services, repairs, and technical maintenance for ATMs, retail POS equipment, Electric Vehicle Charging (EVC), locksmithing, and related PC peripherals on customer premises. The company offers on-the-job mentoring, as well as formal classroom, virtual, and self-paced training for extensive learning opportunities.
Responsibilities :
- Perform maintenance on ATMs, including card readers, printers, resetting, and testing devices.
- Conduct electromechanical repairs.
- Perform basic installation functions such as setting up and testing equipment, pulling cables, mounting devices, and installing locks.
- Resolve technical issues like paper jams, card jams, bill jams, etc.
- Inspect products for correct operation, resolve noted issues, and escalate according to established procedures.
- Prioritize and plan service calls effectively.
- Work within a team environment, complete all required paperwork, and manage service parts inventory.
- Contact customers with estimated time of arrival.
- Work with customers to ensure satisfaction and understanding of product functionality.
- Follow key/alarm/control processes within your area of responsibility.
Qualifications :
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Up to one year of related experience; experience with ATMs or similar equipment is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Windows XP, and Windows 2000.
- Flexibility and a positive attitude are essential.
- Ability to work independently while keeping team considerations in mind.
