Position Summary

Wellness Shop is seeking a motivated and skilled Field Maintenance Technician to join our award‑winning team. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining and repairing our customers’ wellness products, ensuring their satisfaction at every interaction. Success in this role is measured by your ability to diagnose and repair efficiently, deliver exceptional service, and meet on‑site sales opportunities to match customer needs.

Location: Barrie, Ontario

Reason for vacancy: current Backfill

Expected hiring hourly rate: $22 to $25/hr. With bonuses and commission

Sales & Service
  • Attending and completing all service appointments assigned to you in a given day
  • Completing scheduled maintenance services in compliance with company procedures and standards and communicating all work completed
  • Recording all products consumed or requesting products where necessary and ensuring the return appointment is scheduled
  • Ensuring that all information is accurately added to the system, all errors are promptly communicated to the Service Coordinator
  • Engage with customers to suggest the best matched services & products to meet the customers’ needs
  • Progressing to achieve performance metrics
Operations
  • Maintaining the outside/inside of your company vehicle, keeping it clean and organized, inventory is up to date and accurate
  • Ensuring all documentation is organized and available for your manager to review at all times
  • Adhere to all company policies, including dress code and code of conduct, while representing the company on‑site
  • Participate in regular team meetings, sharing insights and feedback to improve team performance
  • Take responsibility for service quality and resolve any mistakes proactively
Coaching & Ongoing Training
  • Engaged to participate in training & coaching sessions when asked by your manager or member of the senior leadership team
  • Preparing for and actively participating in performance reviews
  • Staying current with the newest releases of products, parts and technical bulletins from our manufactures
  • Staying aware of changes and complying with all new and existing standard operating procedures
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC or other relevant technical field
  • At least 1-2 years of hands‑on experience in field service, maintenance, or a related technical field
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and understanding mechanical/electrical systems
  • Experience with hot tubs, saunas, or related wellness equipment is a plus
  • Strong problem‑solving and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A customer‑first attitude with the ability to build rapport and trust
Other Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Clear criminal background check
  • Willingness to travel locally to customer sites
