  • Install, demonstrate, maintain and repair marking, coding and labeling equipment
  • Train customer operators and maintenance personnel
  • Develop reports in keeping with company reporting mechanisms
  • Assess customer needs and opportunities in order to optimize their equipment and processes
  • Propose solutions such as preventive maintenance programs and communicate information regarding identified improvements to their manager
  • Share and exchange solutions with other service technicians and sales managers
  • Keep current on all company products by attending training sessions (onsite/offsite)
  • Assist in production floor, FAT, office duties when not required to be in the field
  • Keep current on trends from both market & technical standpoints

Are you excited about this work?

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in repairing and troubleshooting mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment
  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Automation, or a related field; equivalent work experience will also be considered
  • Ability to identify customer needs and align them with appropriate company products and services
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (Syteline considered an asset)
  • Strong technical aptitude, with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of the packaging industry and its applications, and/or experience with food manufacturing equipment, is preferred
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain PMMI certification (cost covered by the company)
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle
  • Willing and able to travel up to 60%, including throughout Canada, the U.S., and occasional international travel (by car or air)
